O seminário ocorrerá no próximo dia 11/10, às 10h30, no auditório do MAT.

Título: Seminar: Poisson geometry and integrables systems in infinite-dimensions

Palestrante: Alice Barbara Tumpach (Univ. de Lille-França)

Resumo: This talk is an introduction to Poisson geometry in the
Banach and Fréchet framework. We will highlight the peculiarities of
the infinite-dimensional context, such as the existence of "queer"
Poisson brackets, i.e. brackets that are not given by a bivector
field, or the absence of a canonical form for symplectic forms. We
will explain the notions that are central when working in infinite
dimensions, and present our work on Banach-Poisson Lie groups and
integrable systems. The need to construct Poisson Hamiltonian
integrators to numerically solve PDEs arising from hydrodynamics is a
new field of applications.
