The Graduate program in mathematics at UnB, started in 1962 , offers Master degree and PhD in Mathematics in sub-areas of Algebra, Analysis, Geometry and Applied Mathematics ( Probability , Mathematical Physics and Computing) . The faculty maintains an active research program, and participates actively at scientific meetings and in editorial boards of scientific journals, in addition to maintaining scientific exchange with various institutions in the country and abroad.
